I spent a few weeks searching around for a projector on various websites (Projectorcentral.com is excellent) and finally settled on this projector after reading all of the reviews.It's not fancy, and it doesn't have the bells and whistles that aren't in my price range, but it is excellent. The controls are well set right out of the box, and even displaying the image on a wall the quality is great. It is bright enough to work in a well lit environment, and the auto iris that makes it 10,000:1 isn't that noticeable (at least not to me or the people I've shown it to).I have used it for everything from video games to television shows to high definition movies and from around 65 inches to 120 inches and it has performed perfectly.For the price I'm impressed. I can't really compare it so something a lot more expensive, but if you check out the website listed above you might get a better sense of how it ranks. I was worried about the cost to begin with, but after cranking it up to 120 inches on my new screen and watching high definition movies with family and friends I am extremely satisfied.*Note* I haven't had it that long, so this review says nothing for the longevity of the product. If it breaks down in a few weeks I might come back and change the review to take that into account, but I don't think that's going to happen. I buy a lot of ACER products and I've always been satisfied with them.Thanks for reading this review, and I would recommend if you're seriously thinking about buying a projector check out that website first and see what you're looking for, what your throw distance is, and what your price range is then come back to Amazon and pick one out.

This is my second projector for my theatre room.the first I had for 5 years so I did a lot of research before purchasing. The picture quality is great especially in blue ray. Very crisp edges,the colors are fantastic and the blacks are good too. Plenty of lumens so the picture is very bright even with ambient lighting.I've been using it for a month now and I would definitely purchase this model again. The only bad thing I could possibly say is that the fan is loud but I don't notice it much anymore.small sacrifice for processing power and lamp brightness at this price. It's a fantastic projector.

This was a replacement projector for our small home theatre in our basement. We dropped down from 4000 lumens to this 2100 lumens projector and the picture is still GREAT!! I picked this one over the previous 720p model since we wanted true HiDef. It is portable so it can also be used for travelling. It is mounted to our ceiling with a universal bracket. Our previous projector was much higher end that had many features we didn't use. When setting it up to fit in the prior projection location, I neglected to ensure the zoom would position it well. So it looks like we have to change out our screen. The 4:3 aspect ratio is good for some old movies and television shows but not high definition. The 16:9 aspect ratio is bigger than our screen. Video games play very well on it too. The menu options are all very easy to use and setup.When using it like a television there is no problem with changing channels. A great projector at a great price!!
