This is very inexpensive product and the build shows. It is 1080 but because it is single chip LCD the image has the "screen door" effect that older LCD projectors had. There is no aspect control in HDMI input, so a less than 1080x1920 image will not fill the screen. Do not be fooled this is not a 7" LCD. the chip is about an inch and a half, basically a camera view finder element, with a 7" moire fresnel lens set at a fixed focal length to create the large image size. The keystone adjustment is a plastic thumb wheel which tilts the moire lens. Lack of physical zoom or lens offset means some clever placement if the plan is for a fixed locationThe LED lamp is very bright and the colors a fairly accurate, although white levels are a little blown out.The biggest problem is the three fan cooler for the LED element. It is extremely loud, which seems odd given that the LED lamp burns fairly cool.I invalidated my warranty by opening my unit up to get this info. I found fingerprints on the primary condensing lens a few ugly solder points and a loose intake filter (note: the intake fan vents right onto the fresnel lens, so expect it to get dirty fast), but no other obvious problemsHaving said all this, for the price it is an ok value. A functional starter projector. Probably best for presentations, or a kids game room rather than home theater.

the only downside to this projector is the loudness and the lack of sharpness for me to be able to read my computer screen and game text.awesome for movies and shows though

The contrast on this little projector is so much better than I thought it would be, so sharp and crisp, excellent images every time. It projects a great picture to the screen, and focuses manually so it can be even sharper. As well, its a pretty compact unit, but fits nicely in my pack, and with the amount of use I give it, seems really reliable and durable. I usually use it for business presentations, but when I get a chance play movies through it. Again, great pictures with excellent resolution.
