Purchased 7 of these for use in elementary school classrooms. Performance is excellent, very bright, and the ultra-short-throw stays aimed & focused much better than conventional ceiling-mounted units. I had planned to standardize on this model, but of the 7 units we had 2 lamps with under 1000 hours fail (just out of warranty, of course) and just had another lamp failure of a unit that was only in service for four months. NEC support says there is no issue with these projectors or lamps, but they can't keep the lamps in stock. I've had lamps on backorder from NEC and other 3rd parties for 4 months, no one has any replacement lamps in stock for this unit. If the lamps would stay lit, I would give it 4 stars. But a projector with a burned-out lamp that can't be replaced is no good to anybody.
