The PLV-Z3000 unleashes the full 1920 x 1080 high-definition potential from today's advanced full HD sources. This means rich, deep and accurate colors from SANYO's exclusive TopazReal HD. TopazReal HD brings together a team of technologies including a variable iris and lamp reactivity, a 14-bit digital signal processing, real-focus HD lens system, and, most importantly, a 3D color management system that addresses changes in color phase and color level to obtain perfect color reproduction. PLVZ3000 uses 120Hz super-fast Full HD panel, which can increase smoothness in videos due to doubled frame rate from 60 frames/second to 120 frames/second using interpolation frame generation technology. The optimization of deep color from the color management system is supported via the projector's two HDMI 1.3 inputs.

This is my third projector for HT use, I most recently upgraded from a plv-z3.This PJ is great, I paired it with the GreyWolf screen and the picture is stunning, even in medium light. Much better daytime picture than any other HT projector I've seen. Also has a frame interpolation algorithm that adds an amazing amount of realism to movies. Now that I've used the frame interpolation, I'm overly critical of theater movies and other PJs I've seen in action.Would buy again.

You'll have to replace the bulb every year, the contrast is not very good, and if any parts wear out, Sanyo may not honour the warranty. I'd recommend you do your research and think about an Epson or something else. I got screwed over when something went wrong with the Sanyo projector.

I bought this projector in Feb. of 2011 and love it. I replaced an older projector with this model and was blown away by the crisp clean image. The one thing that I like a lot is how quiet this unit is. My old projector sounded like a loud bathroom exhaust fan, I can hardly hear this thing. Like any projector, it puts out some heat but I have a 220sqft room and it takes about three hours to notice the heat from it. My older projector would have that room cooking in an hour. Picture quality is outstanding. I have the screen about 15 ft from the projector and you have the flexibility to make the image size anywhere from 5' diagonal up to 10' at that distance. The sharpness of the images is great, you can see every pore on the actors face and there is virtually no motion blur. It is a great projector, more than I ever expected and I would recommend it to anyone who has the means to buy it.
