I bought the BENQ SP890 projector in Oct 2010 from Amazon and have used it5-7 hrs. a day since then in my Living Room Home Theater and Computer Network.I am on my 2nd lamp which I changed at 3050 hrs. using Economy Mode and it wasstill bright enough to enjoy all aspects. Now it's Feb 2013 and about time tochange the lamp again having 2050 hrs. on it but still working AOK. I haveused various BENQ DLP Projectors in my Home Theater for over 12 years butthe BENQ SP890 is the best ever Single Chip DLP projector I have used. Mostof my use is for Blu-ray movies and HD TV, zero complaints. If there is oneinadequacy it would be it's NOT 3D Compatible. When a 3D move comes outI want to see I treat myself to an IMAX 3D Theater experience for a night out.NOTE: In order to get a significantly better picture than the SP890 you needto get a 3 Chip DLP Projector and pay big bucks for a RONCO, etc. like they useat the numerous Digital theaters now. If you have that kind of disposablecash you are able to acquire toys way beyond anything I require and morepower to ya !! Thx
