Too easy to be this good!
By Joe2370
This JVC projector is my first projector and I'm 55 years old. I used a Chief wall mount with an Elite 110 inch "Fixed Frame" projection screen to ensure nothing would move and distort the picture. I took my time and made certain that the relationship between the projector and the screen was perfect. Lens Shift on the JVC makes life so easy with adjusting the picture. The setup was easy and fast... even for a beginner. Now that it's up and running, I can't believe the picture. This thing is nuts! It's bigger than life. Rich powerful colors make the screen come alive. We have an XBOX 360, a PS3 and a High Definition Cable TV receiver pumping signals into this thing through a KONNET KN-8813EN-01 4 to 1 HDMI Switch. Everything worked the first time out of the box. I saved $7,000 doing the whole thing myself when compared to a bid I received from a local company. The JVC projector is unbelievable and everyone who comes over to see the room is shocked. Quite impressive and well worth the investment.

No reason to look elsewhere.

JVC professional DILA projectors have been out of reach to regular consumers because of price and limited distribution. This new series of projectors is a truly wonderful opportunity for us regular folks to get high end quality for a great price.I've owned projection TVs from SONY and Toshiba, and recently owned a great DLP projector from BENQ that cost more than this one. Forget everything else you've seen, as this projector will outperform anything else selling for 3-5 times the price. Colors are accurate -- the ultimate in natural faces in dramas or outrageous saturation in those over-the-top action fantasies. Blacks are truly black -- the only way to thoroughly enjoy dark sci-fi or night-time horror is to have true black, with every detail popping out of the dark as intended. Bright scenes are naturally rich with detail, and NOT crushed to where nothing is visible. This is a great image. Detailed, colorful, rich looking. You will never go out to a movie theater again. Sorry theater guys.I'm projecting onto a 11 foot wall in a rather small room, but the projector has very wide operating parameters and will work in most room sizes. My wall has been painted with BEHR Silver Screen paint, which is perfect (and cheap) for a quick screen. The lamp on this projector is more than bright enough, and I have it set below it's maximum output. I couldn't recommend a product more.

WOW. Really WOW.

Had a B stock projector with 1 hour lamp on it. Very impressed with this VP. I work as an AV technician and i am a big movie fan. I deal with projectors a lot more expensive than that one for work so...I am quite mental when it comes to picture adjustment. Play 1080p movies @ 24 fps from an old NMT POPCORN A100 using HDMI, no frame drop. Had analog, plasma, LCD, LED tv before, and was getting more and more disappointed by the poor black level of the new technologies. The H250 did NOT disappointed me. Well adjusted the picture is spot on, really blasting. I am projecting on a 4.5m diagonal 2.35 ratio screen (a plain white wall) and finally almost meet the black level from old analog tv, with the sharpness of the HD generation media. I sit next to it and barely hear it. This heavy fat baby came almost perfectly tune out of the box... amazing. At home i use a grey bars scale picture to caliber the JVC, this is all you need really. It takes about several tries to have all the grey shade pure grey, using only your eyes. I agree this is the poor man method, but it works. Will recommend it over and over.
