Great projector for a great price!!
By M. Zeigler
I bought this projector strictly to use as an "outdoor movie night" projector. I also purchased the Gemmy 12' Inflatable screen to use along with the projector in my backyard and they both work great. I used the projector about 4 times (probably a total of about 10 hours) and it started to make a real bad humming noise while it was running. I issued a return through Amazon.com and the new projector showed up the very next day and I have not had any problems with the new one since. I have been using it almost every weekend (weather permitting) since June (it's now the end of August) and not had any further problems with it. It projects GREAT on my 12' screen and everyone loves coming over to watch movies. I use my Playstation 3 to project Blu-Ray movies and play video games so the picture is crystal clear. I have even used regular DVD's and the picture still looks great. I want to get the wireless DVR box for my AT&T U-Verse but I haven't pulled the trigger on that yet. People walking by frequently stop and ask questions about my set up and are always amazed by it. I used the HDMI input on the projector and I use the mini-jack output for the sound into a Klipsch 5.1 surround system which sounds great. When I first bought the projector I hung up the portable screen on the wall in my living room and set up the projector to see what it would look like because I was debating getting one for inside the house. Once you get over the fact the the screen is huge it's just not bright enough to have in a room with several windows. If you pull the shades it looks great but I could not convince the boss that this was the way to go. Same goes for projecting outside, in order to fill the 12' screen the projector has to be about 15-20' (guesstimation) away from the screen so the Sun must be fully down and it has to be getting dark. Summertime in CT we start outdoor movies about 9:10pm. I have "reviewed" inflatable screen on YouTube if your interested in that just search YouTube for Gemmy inflatable screen review. Maybe this link will work [...]hopefully, someday I will post a link for a video review of the projector. I would give it 5 stars except that I had to return the first one after very little use, hopefully it was just a lemon.

Excellent
By Chad M. Sorenson
Had purchased an Epson for more money nine months ago and sent it back because I can't stand noisy fans. This BenQ unit is much quieter, which was my #1 purchase decision. Even in Normal mode, it is quiet. Eco is a whisper. Very pleased.Synced up with my MacBook Pro without even having to tough my control panel. Slick overall. Well designed.

Can't beat the value
By Josh M.
Just installed this projector at our church(seats 200). Used one of the Elite DIY screens and I am very happy with the picture quality and overall brightness. Great projector, especially for the money!
